South Africa terror risk

THERE is "some risk" of Britons being targeted by terrorists in South Africa, the Foreign Office warned last night.

Britons also risk being "caught up" in terror attacks aimed at others, amended travel advice from the Foreign Office added.

Officials said there was also "some risk" of attacks on places where Westerners regularly gathered.

The Foreign Office said Britons should be cautious and vigilant but stressed that its assessment that most visits to South Africa were trouble-free remained.

A statement issued by the Foreign Office said: "Terrorists may make attacks in South Africa. ...
