Due diligence is required when taking the acquisition plunge

AS PART of the process of buying a business it is necessary to undertake due diligence on that business. This is the process where a prospective bidder in a negotiated bid needs to confirm the accuracy of the information and assumptions on which the offer is based.

To do this they consult an accountancy firm who will then examine the accounts of the firm to be purchased and ascertain whether they are accurate and reflect the proposed bid .
