Hospital patients waiting longer than ever

HOSPITAL patients are waiting longer for treatment than when
Labour came to power, despite government pledges to make the time it
takes to be treated a priority.
Figures show that inpatients and day cases are waiting on average
more than a week longer to be admitted to hospital compared to two
years ago, while the number of patients treated by Scottish hospitals
each quarter has dropped by more than 10,000.
