THE United Nations yesterday condemned the forced removal of the
last Bushmen from the Central Kalahari game reserve, the only
remaining place where they were able to practise their original way
of life.
The UN's condemnation of the Botswana government's "discriminatory
practices" against the minority Bushmen - southern Africa's original
inhabitants - and the "dispossession of their traditional lands" came
on the same day as the country's wildlife minister accused
researchers and tour...
