Scots fund managers show quality

SCOTTISH fund managers, including some of the most colourful characters in UK financial services, have outperformed the rest of their UK rivals in an influential survey of the top 100 individual stars.

Of the top 100 fund managers ranked in the Reuters Citywire All Stars 2002 survey, 21 either work for Scottish fund management groups or are Scottish.

They include, at number two across the whole UK, Scottish Amicable Equity fund manager Jonathan Parker, only 25, who is also one of only 30 chess grandmasters in the UK.
