40,000 suffer waiting list rise
|
HOSPITALS are now treating 40,000 fewer patients a year than
before devolution, according to leaked figures.
While waiting lists and times have increased, the number of in-
patients and day case patients admitted for treatment from the
waiting list and the number of first outpatient appointments being
made have dropped.
More than 15 per cent of patients now face a wait of more than 18
weeks to see a consultant.
Ben Wallace, the Conservative deputy health spokesman, said the
