Dungeon thieves make off with a macabre haul

BODY parts and a medieval thumb-screw have been found to be missing during an annual stocktake at the Edinburgh Dungeon.

A realistic severed head, a disembodied blood-soaked leg and a rubber heart have all disappeared from Scotland's most gruesome tourist attraction.

Scott Williamson, the venue's director, said: "It's coming up to our first anniversary so we thought we'd better do a thorough inventory and see what, if anything, needed replacing. We were all surprised at just how much else has gone walkies.

"What use the thieves have found for some of the missing items doesn't really bear ...
