Bradford Bulls seal union club takeover

BRADFORD Bulls, the Super League champions, have taken over rugby
union side Wakefield in a cross-code merger.
Bradford, who will be senior partners in the relationship, become
the third English rugby league club, after Leeds (with Leeds) and
Wigan (with Orrell), to link up with a local rugby union team.
"The deal will be to the substantial benefit of both the Bulls and
Wakefield," said the Bradford chairman, Chris Caisley.
"We only took this step after satisfying ourselves that we can
give our supporters absolute assurance that the future of Bradford
Bulls RLFC would not be detrimentally ...
