Hanoi Continues Cambodian Pullout; Several Thousand Vietnamese Occupation Troops Head for Home

Several thousand departing Vietnamese troops in old Army trucks
arrived at the Cambodian border today for a goodbye ceremony, marking
a new step in Hanoi's attempt to turn over the defense of Cambodia to
the Phnom Penh government it installed during an invasion that began
Christmas Day 1978.
Several hundred school children and farmers, waving
red-and-yellow Cambodian and Vietnamese flags, lined the dirt road as
hundreds of Army trucks crossed into Vietnam loaded with pots,
