Optos focuses in on new chief executive

OPTOS, the eye test machine maker, has drawn up a shortlist of candidates to replace Stephane Sallmard, the chief executive who led the company to flotation earlier this year.

The company is expected to provide an update on the top job on Thursday when it presents its first full-year results to the City. A round of interviews is understood to have been completed and the company is homing in on a candidate to replace Sallmard, who resigned in September.

Analysts expect the Dunfermline company to report a 37 per cent leap in sales to GBP 35m in the year to September. Pre-tax losses are thought ...
