Brown ally: stop devolution turf war

A SENIOR UK Minister and key ally of Gordon Brown has attacked fellow Scottish Labour MPs and MSPs for fighting a turf war over which one is more powerful.

Writing in today's Scotland on Sunday, Douglas Alexander, the Minister for Europe, declares that Labour politicians in both Holyrood and Westminster need to get over their obsession with which of them is in charge, and should focus instead on delivering for the voters.

He speaks of his disbelief that, despite being a campaigner for devolution, some in the party have questioned his commitment to a Scottish Parliament.
