Aberdeen equities chief on way to UK to decide fund managers' futures

HUGH Young, Aberdeen Asset Management's head of equities, will fly into the UK this week to begin assessing which fund managers will stay with the firm following its takeover of Deutsche Asset Management.

A handful of Deutsche fund managers are believed to have made plans to leave since Aberdeen's takeover was announced earlier this month, causing concern among institutional investors.

Mike Warren, head of Deutsche's retail fund management arm DWS, has already left after learning there was no job for him in the new set-up.

Young, based in Singapore, has now been drafted in to begin talks ...
