Britain 'losing sense of fair play' in sport

WE GAVE the world football, golf, rugby and many more sports, and Britain's pioneering Corinthian spirit saw us recognised around the world as the home of fair play.

The phrase that something "isn't cricket" proved that Britain was exemplary, but now the government's own sports agency admits that we are no longer the home of the sporting ethic, and our title has been usurped by Australia.
