Notes of interest will raise a small fortune
|
TRY spending this lot in the Home Counties. One of the finest
collections of Scottish banknotes ever assembled goes under the
hammer next month when it is expected to fetch over 200,000 pound.
The Pringle collection is made up of 724 notes stretching as far
back as 1723, and features long-forgotten financial institutions such
as the Arbroath Banking Company.
It is being sold by the family of the late Dr Robert Pringle and
will almost certainly be broken up as dozens of collectors bid to get
their hands on some of the rarest notes in the world.
