Walter Scott's high flying ambitions for jet hire are grounded

WALTER Scott, the reclusive fund manager and keen amateur pilot,
has parked his long term ambitions to branch into the jet hire
business.
The millionaire financier, who is thought to earn around 5m pounds
a year, said the recent turmoil in the aviation industry and the
flood of low cost airlines on to the market meant now was "not the
time" to consider a new venture.
Walter Scott & Partners, which manages billions of pounds of money
mainly for US pension funds, has sold the company's Citation Bravo
jet, which was previously used by staff for business travel, to a
demerged subsidiary, Walter ...
