CAN you have too much of a good thing? Obviously Hollywood doesn't think so or it wouldn't keep churning out sequels or chasing the golden goose of a never-ending James Bond-style franchise. Still, there are times when Red Dragon feels like a Hannibal Lecter film too many.

You can appreciate the financial reasons behind the film, but the artistic justification is a little harder to discern.
