Fears grow for city cut off by uprising

AFTER hundreds of foreigners sped away from a rebel-held Ivory
Coast city, a question mark hung yesterday over the fate of those
left behind - trapped by rebels and fearing an attack by loyalist
soldiers.
"We have the impression that they are waiting until the foreigners
leave before doing something," said Felix, referring to an oft-
threatened government attack to drive out the rebels who have taken
control of Bouake, Ivory Coast's second largest city.
Standing in the paltry shade of an airport terminal in the central
