HE EARNS 200,000 pounds a year, sends his children to private
school, lives at one of Edinburgh's swankiest addresses and has a
high-ranking position within one of Scotland's leading financial
institutions.
If ever a background screamed middle class this would be it. But
Jim Gilchrist, the sales director for the Scottish Life insurance
company, is having none of it.
