Scottish PR in bid to reverse bad publicity

THE Institute of Public Relations in Scotland will open
nominations tomorrow for the first ever PR awards north of the
Border.
The awards are intended to reverse the recent wave of bad
publicity PR has received, as well as highlighting the financial and
positive impacts made by the sector on the Scottish economy.
Categories will include best consultancy, best crisis management
campaign and best independent practitioner.
Public relations consultancies in Scotland contribute around 30m
pounds to the national economy each year. But the industry has
ironically suffered from bad publicity itself ...
