Plea for sculptures to stay as a rock solid Holyrood fixture

AN exhibition of giant granite sculptures in Holyrood Park has
been extended for a further six months after proving a hit with the
public.
The 20 carvings by Edinburgh-based artist Ronald Rae have been on
display in the park since May last year, and were due to be removed
this coming May.
But now Historic Scotland, which operates the park, has said they
can remain in place until November. The decision has sparked calls
for the sculptures - which include a 20-ton Lion of Scotland - to
stay at Holyrood permanently.
