Town anger at 'ridiculous' decision to axe tourist centre

A TOURIST information centre in a Lothians seaside town has been
axed, sparking criticism from community leaders and local businesses.
VisitScotland said it decided to replace Musselburgh's tourist
information centre with an unstaffed information point due to falling
visitor numbers.
However, local people have called the decision "ridiculous" and
said more should be done to promote the East Lothian town to
tourists.
VisitScotland has announced that the centre, which used to be
staffed between April and October, will not open this year.
