Investor doubts keep Cairn India price low
|
CAIRN Energy says it has priced the initial public offering of its
Cairn India arm at a bottom end price which will raise around GBP 600
million - following lukewarm investor response amid concerns over
valuation and how it plans to transport its oil.
The city-based oil explorer's Indian arm has priced its IPO at GBP
1.83 (160 rupees) per share, at the bottom of a GBP 1.83 to GBP 2.16
(160-190 rupee) range, valuing the company at GBP 3.23 billion.
Last week's GBP 168m share offering scraped through with about 1.2
times subscription after a few institutions withdrew their bids on
