City Pensioner Rescued From Mexican Jungle

AN Edinburgh pensioner has been rescued from the Mexican jungle
after lying injured for almost two days.
William Ditchburn, from Morningside, got lost and then seriously
twisted an ankle after taking a tumble while visiting an
archaeological site near Uxmal, in the Yucatan peninsula. But he
managed to survive living rough
without any food or water before being rescued on Boxing Day. The
70-year-old, who is now recovering in hospital, today told how it had
been an "unforgettable adventure".
