Lib Dems' Nicol could yet end up living the dream

NICOL STEPHEN was boasting in Brighton this week about the prospect of the Liberal Democrats emerging from next year's Holyrood elections as the biggest single party. He even went as far as talking about what some of his priorities would be as First Minister.

Now it's only natural if Scottish Lib Dems feel a certain sense of superiority when they visit their party colleagues down south. After all, the Lib Dems here are in government, filling ministerial posts and implementing policy in a way which is still just a pipe dream for the party's MPs at Westminster.
