Severna Park Defeats Annapolis in Overtime
|
Jim Graves was perfect on an 18-yard field goal in overtime to
give Severna Park a 10-7 victory over Annapolis last night before a
chilled crowd of 7,500 at Severna Park.
The win gives Severna Park (9-1, 6-1 in the league) the Anne
Arundel 4A League championship, the Class 4A Region 4 championship
and a berth in the state playoffs. Annapolis (8-2, 6-1) must await
Saturday's games to see if it gets in as a wild card. Annapolis had
won eight straight since an opening-season 21-14 loss to Friendly.
