Six years for Samurai sword attacker
|
A TEENAGER who launched a life-threatening attack with a samurai
sword on another man has been jailed for six years.
Lee Ferrol, 18, was also told he would serve a further three years
on licence because he was a risk to the public.
Ferrol previously pleaded guilty to assaulting Brian Waddell on
Niddry Road, Winchburgh on October 2 last year. He was already on
bail - awaiting sentence for a knife attack - when he lashed out with
the ornamental weapon he kept hanging on his wall.
A court heard how the three-foot sword pierced Mr Waddell's right
arm, severing nerves and an artery.
