Lyceum sets out its stall of ruby anniversary season classics
|
WHEN the founding actors of the Royal Lyceum Theatre Company took
to the stage for the first time on October 1, 1965, few would have
predicted just how successful the company would become over the
following 40 years.
Since taking up residence when the Lyceum building in Grindlay
Street was already 83 years old and had seen a succession of owners,
managers and theatrical eras, the company has flourished over the
years into one of the premier stage troops in Scotland.
A galaxy of stars have trodden the boards at the theatre over the
years, with names like Brian Cox, Tom Conti and Una Maclean ...
