Artist in frame for graveside tribute

A PERMANENT tribute to one of Edinburgh's forgotten artists is to be unveiled at his final resting place.

John Kay's knack for capturing an array of social scenes from the Scottish Enlightenment period made his name.

But his grave in Greyfriar's Kirkyard has lain unmarked since the well-known caricaturist died in 1826.

Now, thanks to a fundraising campaign by a group of admirers, a memorial stone will finally be placed beside his final resting place.
