Lens man keeps in frame by staying focused

THEY do say you've got to speculate to accumulate and Jack Brown's
been speculating, and accumulating, from the day he left school at
16. He's been in specs, selling them as well as wearing them, all his
working life.
Here was a youth who was focused. Direct from Broughton Secondary
in 1958, he started as an optical technician apprentice with a
spectacle-making firm in the New Town. Six years later he had made up
his mind. A career in optics was the only way to go.
Look at him now. Jack Brown Eyecare operates from its headquarters
at Elder Street in Edinburgh, the West Side Plaza at Wester ...
