Dog savages 12-year-old boy in park

A 12-YEAR-OLD boy suffered up to 30 puncture wounds to his body and a broken wrist after he was savaged by a dog outside a Lothian school.

The boy was attacked in Roslin, Midlothian, by the Alsation cross just minutes into the start of the school summer holidays.

Staff at a local primary school, who witnessed the attack, rushed to the youngster's aid as the animal repeatedly bit his arms and body as he tried to shield himself.

The boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children where he was treated for the effects of several bite marks, with up to 30 puncture wounds in both his arms ...
