Chiefs use their Initiative to net cash for council

COUNCIL chiefs in West Lothian are set to rake in millions of pounds after developing innovative computer software for local authorities.

The new system, specifically designed to make it easier for council officers and politicians to keep up to date on thousands of projects, could now be sold to almost 400 councils in England with the potential of making millions.

The council is also about to enter into a partnership agreement with at least five Scottish councils to develop the software even further.

Under the deal, West Lothian Council would offer access to the Initiatives System software ...
