Pets; Hunting Up The Best Dog

If you want to avoid a blistering argument at any social
gathering, the general rule of thumb is always to avoid two specific
topics: politics and religion. I have one more rule to add to your
thumb if the gathering includes more than one outdoorsman: the best
dog. That topic is a guaranteed powder keg.
The American Kennel Club is currently registering 130 breeds of
dogs and many owners of these animals would resort to fisticuffs
defending the attributes of each. No one who has raised a dog from
puppyhood, fallen in love with it and taught it a few tricks wants to
