Sihanouk Says Struggle for Control of Cambodia Is Stalemated

Former Cambodian chief of state Prince Norodom Sihanouk said yesterday that despite favorable international trends, "we are facing a deadlock in the search for an equitable solution to the problem of Cambodia."

Sihanouk, who conferred this week with President Reagan and Secretary of State George P. Shultz, said there is no break in the Cambodia-related struggle of two rival communist factions-the Vietnamese-backed regime in Phnom Penh versus the Chinese-backed guerrillas of the feared Khmer Rouge.
