Ninth green for the Dunhill now more of a level playing field

THE controversial green at Kingsbarns which was a major talking point during last year's Dunhill Links Championship has been rebuilt.

And bosses at the superb Fife course are confident the change will meet with approval when some of the world's top players return for the same event next week.

Plenty of players were taking three putts on the ninth green 12 months ago while some even told horror stories of four-putting when Kingsbarns made its big-time debut in front of the TV cameras last autumn.
