MAYFIELD'S relegation blues from Division 2 of the Alpha Trophies
Edinburgh Bowling League were eased by the club's glorious 7-5 points
victory over Division 1 giants Craigentinny in the final of the
glamorous Edinburgh Cup at Hillside.
The underdogs were always against the collar with two of their
four rinks destined for heavy defeat and a third trailing Kevin
McFarlane by two shots with two ends to play.
But a hat-trick of wins for the rinks skipped by Gavin Thomson,
Gordon Wilson and David Wiseman kept Mayfield in the picture.
