INSPIRATION can come from the strangest places. Just ask James Skelly, frontman and primary songwriter with hotly-tipped indie outfit The Coral.

While most song scribes nowadays seem to find their muse from cannibalising a couple of their favourite bands, Skelly's heroes draw their inspiration from Hoylake, Mersey-side. "It's one of those villages where everyone knows everyone, but no one really knows anyone," says Skelly.
