Fry's play on child sex whips up storm

PLANS to stage a controversial play by gay star Stephen Fry about paedophilia in a public school during this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe have been condemned.

The award-winning Latin! Or Tobacco and Boys, which details a homosexual affair between a 13-year-old boy and his Latin teacher, is the actor's only original stage play and is described as the most outrageous work of his colourful career.

City councillors expressed outrage when they learned the play, which makes it clear the pair are having a sexual relationship, was to be put on during the Festival.
