Scottish artists crying foul over playfair project

The celebrated Playfair Project is meant to solve the National
Galleries' problems, so, asks Liam Rudden, why has it created a major
rift in the art world?
AT 26 million pounds the National Galleries of Scotland's Playfair
Project has been heralded as the country's most important visual arts
event for years.
It is intended to ensure that the galleries at the Mound will
achieve an international status on a par with the Louvre in Paris and
the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
In three years' time, when the project is complete, the public
will see a refurbished National Gallery of ...
