VICTIM ID'D AS A TECH COLLEAGUE OF GYROPLANE PILOT

The pilot of a gyroplane that crashed in Blacksburg on Saturday
and the passenger killed in the crash worked together at Virginia
Tech.
Judy Diane Albert, 43, of Christiansburg was killed when the two-
seater aircraft went down in flames just after 1 p.m. behind a home
on Landsdowne Street, off South Main Street, said Sgt. Bob
Carpentieri of the Virginia State Police.
The Federal Aviation Administration is scheduled to arrive at the
crash site this morning to begin an investigation. It appears the
craft had engine problems, Carpentieri said.
