Samuel Jr. Samuel Alexander, Jr., entered this earthly realm on December 21, 1930 through the late Lendora Foley (d. 1973) and Samuel Alexander (d. 1975) in Natchez, Miss. His early years were nurtured at the knee of his paternal grandmother, "Mamu," and educated in the Mississippi public school system.
