AVALANCHE COMES HOME WITH SERIES EVENED UP

Tim Torres wanted to make something happen.
He's been in playoffs for the past six seasons -- dating back to
high school -- and each time his team fell short. Each time, he
believes, he fell short.
"There's certain pitches, certain plays. I still think about those
at-bats where I could have done something special," Torres said. "I
think everyone feels like they should do something special."
