HERE ARE 10 THINGS TO DO IN EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY

"Woe is us" is a familiar refrain for too many folks in eastern Montgomery County.

You've heard the chorus before. The Powers That Be ignore Shawsville and Elliston. Our schools rely on hand-me-downs from Blacksburg. There's nothing fun to do here. Nothing for our kids. Nowhere to go.

Sorry friends, but that song-and-dance has lost its tune and step.

I took some time this week to tally what I'm calling my Top 10 List of Eastern Montgomery Enhancements.

They're in no particular order, but beware! If you prefer complaining to participating, then stop reading here. You'll only get depressed.
