Who among us has not wondered what the moments immediately beyond death might (or might not) include? Having spent my professional life attending the critically ill and dying, I have long been interested in the near-death experience, or NDE, as Dr. Parnia has named it. With impeccable academic credentials and precision, the author has approached the end of life in an inventive and questioning fashion.
