COUNCIL GIVES TRAFFIC CHANGES GREEN LIGHT

Roanoke's elected leaders have joked that messing with people's
traffic patterns can be risky political business.
But Monday, City Council decided it's time to make some changes to
one of Roanoke's busiest intersections at Towers Shopping Center,
where a U.S. 220 exit ramp and 23rd Street meets with Wonju Street
and Colonial Avenue.
The council, on a 4-1 vote, endorsed changes to the intersection
that would include prohibiting left turns from Colonial Avenue onto
