KIDDUSH KUP STAYS ON TRACK

The asphalt on Saturday morning proved too wet for racing.
Rain the night before had soaked the track, and at 9 a.m., the
dark clouds threatened to destroy the frantic effort of several
fraternity brothers to dry it off.
Several armed with kitchen brooms fought a nasty puddle on the
first corner. Others laid towels on the track hoping to soak up the
water. Someone went looking for a wet vac.
Not until noon would the first driver complete a lap at the second
annual Kiddush Kup, an Alpha Epsilon Pi go-kart fund-raiser that
turned a Virginia Tech parking lot into a racetrack.
