OBIT - SMITH, MARGARET E. KANE

Margaret E. Kane Smith, 89, of Bassett, Virginia, formerly of
Steubenville, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at the home of
her granddaughter, Joan in Akron, Ohio. She was born in Mingo
Junction, Ohio on April 21, 1915, a daughter of the late Alfred C.
and Bessie A. Buzza Thomas. A longtime member of LaBelle View Church
of Christ in Steubenville, Margaret was now a member at Mt. Pleasant
Christian Church in Rocky Mount, Va. She retired in 1979 as chief
deputy clerk of Steubenville Municipal Court. Margaret was preceded
in death by her first husband, Joseph J. Kane, on June 7, 1964; ...
