The Interstate 581 / U.S. 220 corridor from Orange Avenue to Wonju Street in Roanoke will get a makeover, Roanoke officials said Friday.

The busiest Virginia roadway west of Richmond will undergo a transportation study by the Virginia Department of Transportation and Roanoke, said Ken King, transportation manager for the city.
