Henry Lee, "Hank" Dews, 73, of Roanoke, peacefully slipped away from our loving arms on May 24, 2004. Henry was born in Campbell County on March 4, 1931 to the late Jimmie Dews and Rosetta Gilbert Dews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mattie Belle Hancock and one brother, Joe L. Dews. Mr. Dews served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following the military, he returned to Monday Motor Line (later Jones Motor Company) where he worked and retired after 35 years. Hank was a great outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish.
