Brittany McCann brought up the rear of the tour at Echostar. Her
motorized wheelchair zipped around cubicles where employees spoke
into headphones and televisions flashed overhead.
Brittany was on a field trip with Montgomery County Public Schools
to show disabled students jobs to consider after graduation.
Some pondered working for the satellite dish company and call
center. The $8.50 an hour pay. The benefits.
Brittany didn't bother. She'd have to pass a timed typing test,
but she doesn't have the required finger dexterity.
