Gary Engvall never grew out of his boyhood love of kites.
He's 47 now, but he drove hundreds of miles this week from Rhode
Island to the Roanoke Valley to fly his kites Saturday at Green Hill
Park.
Engvall and his wife, Maggie, are no ordinary kite enthusiasts.
They brought a trailer load of kites with them, including some of
the biggest in the world.
Some were more than 100 feet long with wingspans of 35 feet.
